Right. So I don't exactly have the blogging routine down yet, my last post being several weeks ago. But I feel a bit rejuvenated now with the temperature warming up, and much like I am doing with my excercise routine, I am going to work on making my blogging more regular.
The latest completed project is my felted hedgehog. Scratch that. My latest completed project is a Cat Bordhi moebius felted basket, but I forgot to take a photo of that before I took it to Sheep's Clothing. So the latest completed project with a photo is the hedgehog. Both this little creature and the basket are models for classes I'm teaching this spring. I'm also teaching felted clogs, Ribwarmer Vest, and Wonderful Wallaby. Anyway, back to the hedgehog. I adored making this little gal, complete with her spring purse. It's Donegal Tweed for the front of the body, brown Cascade 220 held with Berroco Zap for the back. I made one with Cascade 220 Tweed and Funky Fur for my nephew for Christmas. That one was that buttery yellow with black flecks and then black fur. Anyway, I didn't think to use a darker color underneath the furry part, so he looked a little like he had hair plugs. Still cute, though. I don't think you can help having fun and laughing as you make these hedgehogs. They are such a different adventure than garment projects.

With the class projects complete, I am starting in on a Rowan Cotton Glace sweater model for my mom's shop. I just started the ribbing and am loving it. Page 85 of the new Rowan Magazine. But I am using red and light blue for the ribbing stripes instead of the pink and blue. Lots and lots of stripes. More on that later.
