It's done! The Rowan Cotton Glace sweater model is finally complete and will begin its journey to Spokane tomorrow. Despite all the
little details that I wish were a little better, I have to say a really like this one. I would definitely feel good wearing it out and about. And, I don't know, maybe I would whistle "Popeye the Sailor Man" to go with the whole nautical theme. Or maybe "Yankee Doodle Dandy" with the red-white-and-blue thing.I made a couple of tiny modifications, the first being eliminating the eyelet row in the first white stripe. There is supposed to be a navy ribbon going through that stripe and tying in the front. But I figured that would limit the wearing-it-open option. I also made the sleeves about an inch longer. I think my cuffs on the size 3 were extra tight, and I discovered that they were a really tight squeeze around my arm. So I ripped and made slightly longer sleeves so that the cuff falls on a skinnier part of the forearm. I wouldn't mind the whole sweater being couple of inches longer, but I think the idea is to have a cami or tee coming out from underneath. All in all, though, I am happy with the finished result.

Dear Ingrid,
I too made a striped glace sweater as a baby gift, I loved the neat tidy way the yarn looks.Your sweater is beautiful, I can't wait to see it in the shop.By the way Sheila bought 18 skeins of glace in this cool jade/blue color, we are going to knit tanks out of it.
Happy knitting, Gerda
PS Slow Knitter! You did this project in a month!
