To Market, To Market

How in the world have I fallen off and not posted anything new in a while? I'll tell you how. I've been trying to finish my various projects so I can wear them at the National NeedleArts Association conference in Columbus, Ohio. Mom and I will travel to Ohio on Wednesday, and then we embark on several days of classes, fashion shows, cocktail parties, and walking the floor of the trade show. I just love the June market, since all the new fall and winter yarns and designs make their debut. I am simply bubbling over in anticipation.
I don't know yet whether I will have access to a computer at the hotel during our stay so that I could post a few things while we're there. If not, I'll catch up on posts and load some photos when I return.
Okay, today's photo is of my Classic Elite Potpourri shrug. I started this baby last July, completing the pieces relatively quickly. But then with our move and all, the pieces sat in a drawer and didn't finally come together until about two weeks ago. The pattern called for a long stockinette piece to be sewn to the perimeter. I wasn't about to take on that much additional assembly, so I opted for applied i-cord instead. I'm showing it with the dress I had in mind when I picked out the yarn.
Currently I am working on a pair of socks out of Plymouth Sockotta. I tried one on (sans toe) and considered taking a photo to post here, but the sight of my peeling nail polish and sorry sole made me think otherwise. I will post a photo as soon as the socks can completely cover my feet. We will all be better off.
