You Can't Rip Out a Haircut
As if I needed another reason to love knitting or some other illustrative analogy, but today I am thinking about how much better knitting is than getting a haircut. I'm in the adjustment phase of a haircut yesterday that started out as a two-inch trim and morphed into something that felt quite short and had more of a dramatic wedge shape than I had expected (think a shorter and not quite as stylish version of Victoria Beckham's hair). Now, if I had knit my new hairstyle, I would be able to rip it out and make some slight improvements, ending up with a little different shape and size. It might cost me extra time, but it would make me happier. As it stands, I have to wait for this baby to grow out. Now, I could knit myself a hat...
