I just arrived back home to Tacoma to see our newly refinished hardwood floors. What a delight! Now we can actually get down to the business of finishing up the last few things and really settling in.
As for knitting, I seem to be in one of those unfinished business streaks. There's the Manos vest, which has a little mistake a long ways back (certainly the product of sleepy knitting) and might need to be ripped out almost completely. There's the Mission Falls baby sweater that I knit on our drive out west. I have the front and back complete and just need to knit the little sleeves, which won't take long at all. There's the Simply Grand October pattern, the Wrist Cozies, knit out of Louisa Harding Grace. Much like our house, there are a lot of projects nearly done, but the very presence of all the unfinished projects is starting to grate on me. Maybe "starting to grate on me" isn't quite as appropriate as "driving me insane." But before long I'll have one of those finished business streaks, both in house projects and knitting projects. And then I'll be able to return to my somewhat normal self. Or so I hope.
