Still a Dearth of Photos

Shortly I will be off to Walgreens to print some photos and get some new batteries for my camera (I still haven't found that box...). So hopefully this weekend I'll have some up. The whimple now resides in Spokane, and I have to say I miss knitting with that softy soft yarn. (Dare I say I whimpled a bit when I mailed it off? :) ) But I don't miss it so much that I'm not chomping at the bit to get going on my next project. I swatched yesterday for the Manos circle shrug/vest thing from the new Metropolitan Diary collection. It's worked in the round from the center out and has a great spiral effect. Go to the distributor's web site to see a photo. I have to say, though, the photo doesn't do it justice at all. Mom and I saw it at market, and it was much more appealing in person. I tried it on and knew instantly it would be one of those things I would wear all the time with jeans and a black top. I'm knitting mine out of a mustard color, which is a departure for me, but I love it.

If all goes well, by this time next week, my yarn and knitting supplies will finally have a home in the basement. Right now everything is squeezed in big plastic tubs, and I feel like I'm suffocating those poor little skeins. They might even be whimpling at me.
