Gummy Bears and Big Wool
I have just had a revelation and have discovered one food that tastes wonderful: gummy bears. Perhaps "food" is a little too generous, but the package does say "Made with real fruit juice." So there must be some value there. I purchased a small bag of the bears today during the dreaded trip to the grocery store. (I try not to look at anything except that which is on my list, in case of a wave of nausea, but today when putting something in the bottom of my cart I accidentally spotted a can of sausage gravy. Yikes!). Anyway, trying a couple of bears at lunchtime turned into eating the entire bag, and the satisfaction of eating something that actually tasted wonderful to me almost made me cry (though that's not saying much, given my pregnancy propensity for crying). So now one question remains: Where can I find a bigger bag of gummy bears? On the knitting side of things, I am immersed in Rowan Big Wool right now. I just completed a quickie cabled scarf from the Iknitiative pattern line, and now I'm working on a Big Wool vest from one of the newer Rowan books. Both will be models in the shop. Boy, does Big Wool knit up quickly. The projects are reminding me to get out a purple Big Wool sweater I knit a couple of years ago and wear it before it becomes sadly too small.
