Knitting Away
I returned from Spokane on Sunday and had such a great time at the store. The students in my classes--Felted Penguin and Back to School Vests--were delightful, and of course it was great to see all the new yarn and models I hadn't yet seen. I left Spokane with a couple more models to knit. The first is a baby hat and sweater set from Itty Bitty Nursery. My goodness, it's darling. There is an appliqued daisy on the hat and sweater with an i-cord stem that swirls up and around. I'm knitting it out of the new Berroco Comfort and loving it. The hat is complete, and tonight I'll start the sweater. The hat's so cute I want to eat it (and I mean that in a deliciously cute eating way, not in a pregnancy pica way--though today I had the fleeting thought of tasting my lip balm, which smells a bit like rosemary). When I finish the sweater, I'll post a picture of both. I'm still trying to get to the bottom of my camera/computer communication problem. My next strategy is to uninstall the photo software and re-install it. Fingers crossed. Nausea is subsiding a bit. The funny thing was that I felt quite a lot better in Spokane, but then as soon as I got back home, I started to feel sicker. I don't know if it's a weird pregnancy Pavlovian response or what, but the sight of our pantry and the thought of having to go to the grocery store again made me feel really yucky. Yesterday I had a bad headache, which was a great excuse to be still and knit for a lot of the day (hence, completed hat).
