That's Not Crocheted!

This week I was looking through the New York Times. I must have been in a style section because there were many of the huge fashion ads. I nearly choked on my orange juice when I saw a Bloomingdale's ad featuring a knitted coat. It was made out of a chunky cream yarn, so it was very easy to see the stitches. Anyway, the heading of the ad said something like "Knit Wit" and then the description underneath referred to the "crocheted sweater coat." I think not! The coat was so clearly knitted, I was at once a little irked at Bloomingdale's and a little embarrassed for them. That just seems like something they should get right. Shame on them. Cute coat, though. I've been hunting for a photo online, but I haven't found one yet.
