Photos At Last!

A few minutes ago I settled myself in the computer chair for what I expected would be an afternoon of getting to the bottom of the camera/computer communication problem. But lo and behold...when I plugged in the camera, it was back to normal. So what that means, of course, is new photos!

First we have the flower sweater and hat set from Itty Bitty Nursery. I knit it out of the new Berroco Comfort. To my great surprise, it took only two pinks for the set (and then one each of white, lime, and orange). Andrew's reaction was, "Looks like the baby has a huge head." Actually, I believe the hat is the 12 months size and the sweater is 6-12 months, so that explains the discrepancy. I have to say that I am quite surprised by the look and the softness of the Berroco Comfort, which is 50% nylon and 50% acrylic. Also, I'm in love with many of the patterns from Itty Bitty Nursery, including the mobile with little dangling mice knit out of Blue Sky Organic Cotton. I just might have to knit that.

Next is the "Pastel Marley" from Itty Bitty Hats. (Yes, there seems to be an Itty Bitty them here, but it's just a coincidence. These are models for A Grand Yarn, not garments for the itty bitty one on the way.) This hat is out of six colors of Tahki Cotton Classic. It's just good old stripes with a little garter and seed stitch thrown in, but I think it's cute.
Wednesday it's off to Spokane again. This time I'm teaching the scallop beaded scarf and the final installment of the Back to School Vest class. It should be a lot of fun. We're also just about to send out our email announcement of December classes, so I'm putting the finishing touches on that. I think the December lineup is great, featuring lots of quickie gift projects.

I love the colors in the hat. Is that colorway given in the book or did you wing it?
